Former Celibates Admit the “Gay Christian Celibate” Movement Gateway to Full, Practicing Homosexuality

by | Nov 12, 2021 | LGBTQ Issues, News, Opinion, Social-Issues, The Church | 0 comments

A prominent movement within Evangelicalism has emerged in recent years primarily through two organizations associated with “gay Christianity.” These two organizations–Revoice and Living Out–have primarily served to normalize aberrant sexuality in conservative Christian denominations, namely, the Southern Baptist Convention and the Presbyterian Church (PCA).

These two organizations openly advocate for the acceptance of LGBTQ identity within the ranks of the Church, advocate for intimate same-sex relationships–including living together in marriage-like arrangements that include physical intimacy–so long as it stops short of bodily penetration.

This is what the movement calls “gay celibacy” or “Side B.” “Side A,” on the other hand, are those who have rejected the celibate movement and who openly admit to practicing same-sex intercourse while still calling themselves Christians. It is, in fact, a form of queer theory.

The movement is weird–really weird–to normal Christians who believe that homosexuality, as described in the Scriptures, is an abomination to God. In the video clip below, you’ll find a typical story of an openly gay youth pastor who has moved in with another male who says he is not gay. In this clip, the homosexual on the right admits that he is sexually attracted to the straight male he is living with, yet, the purportedly straight male on the left agrees to live with him in a marriage-like arrangement anyway.

Of course, even if it is true that the male on the left who has agreed to this arrangement actually has no intention of engaging in sexual activity with the male on the right, it is impossible to argue that this arrangement would not only serve to inflame the desires and temptations of the male on the right. Imagine if two straight people–a male and a female–moved in together and agreed to live together in a marriage-like arrangement devoid of intercourse. Would this arrangement be approved by the same supposedly conservative churches that are approving of this? Of course not.

Reformation Charlotte has repeatedly argued that this “gay celibate” movement is nothing but a cover for rebellious homosexuals in the professing Church who want to change the way the Church views homosexuality. Sadly, it has deceived many and has been embraced by mainstream Evangelical leadership. Among them are Southern Baptists, who, through the ERLC has adopted the ideology of Living Out–an organization that has merged with Revoice and purports the same ideology.

The ERLC has openly embraced the perverted ideology of man-to-man intimacy and teaches that men don’t have to get married because they can be intimate with each other.

Now, some of these former so-called “Side B” “gay Christians” have openly admitted that the “Side B celibate” movement was nothing more than a cover for what they were truly doing behind closed doors, and merely a gateway to full, open homosexuality:

Following in that thread on Twitter are many more who have agreed with this and who admit to a similar experience. It must be known that these aberrant sexual movements within the Church cannot be tolerated; they must be exposed for what they are, and ousted from among the ranks of professing Christians and churches.

I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people—not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.” –1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (ESV)

Speaking the Truth in Lust

Speaking the Truth in Lust

It’s the darling phrase of modern Evangelicalism—trotted out with breathless solemnity every time someone dares to speak a hard truth too plainly: “We must speak the truth in love.” Four little words. A verse fragment. A harmless butterfly of a phrase that, somewhere...

Planned Parenthood Shouldn’t Be Defunded, but the ERLC Should Be

I just read an “explainer” article by the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) published in the Christian Index, and to no one's surprise, it’s exactly what we’ve come to expect from the Southern Baptist Convention’s well-funded public relations...

Surrogacy is The Childless Gospel of the Left

I ran across a tweet the other day that lodged itself in my mind like a thorn. It was from Genevieve Gluck, a name that occasionally floats across the radar of gender-critical feminism, usually sounding some kind of alarm about the degradation of womanhood at the...

A Response to Twitter Thread on Capital Punishment for Abortions

It started, as these things often do, with a simple question. A seemingly nice lady on Twitter—yet a representative of the typical emotionally charged illogical reasoning of the mainstream pro-life movement—wanted to know how I think my church should handle a woman in...

False Teacher of the Day #59: Kathryn Krick

While we here at The Dissenter along with other discernment ministries have been sounding the alarm on her for some time, any False Teacher of the Day series would be woefully incomplete without a full expose on “Apostle” Kathryn Krick. After all, this self-styled...
